It is your health. I think you should try again, only this time cut back on the amount. Stevia is actually 200 times sweeter than sugar. one of those packets is way too much. I have a 2 cup coffee cup, I drink coffee out of daily. It only takes 1/4 teaspoon.
2 1/2 years ago, I paid 23 dollars for a 12oz container of Stevia Powder. I have about 6ozs left which should give me another 2 1/2 years, that is less than 5 dollars a year. Do that with sugar.

Unfortunately it looks like the seedling is dying ...

Unfortunately it looks like the seedling is dying (perhaps the soil is too moist?).

Fortunately it seems that another seed is germinating, I hope it will survive.

If both of the seedlings die, I will sow another batch — I don't give up easily. ;)

Last night I saw one tiny seedling, which is a bit earlier than I expected (the seed bag says “Keimdauer: 10-20 Tage bei etwa 22°C”). As I have never seen a stevia seedling before, it could easily be the seedling of some weed. However, the seedling looks a bit like a dandelion seedling, and since stavia and dandelion are related it just might be the first stevia plant to emerge. Time will tell.

Anyway, I expect to blog about it during the weekend. Hopefully more seeds will have germinated by then. :)
